  8. IFF2XMENU.info -- Workbench icon for the IFF2XMENU file.
  9. IFF2XMENU      -- Convert IFF brushes to X-CAD screenmenus.
  10. DEMOMENU       -- Sample screenmenu.
  11. DEMOMENU.pic   -- DPAINT-II picture explaining the DEMOMENU commands.
  12.                   Use SHOWPRINT-II to view *and* get a printout.

  28.                          IFF2XMENU BRIEF DOCUMENTATION.

  40. IFF2XMENU will convert IFF brushes to X-CAD screenmenu files for use with
  41. MODMENU.

  44. Using the program
  45. -----------------
  46.  
  47. There are two options for entering the IFF and XMENU file names.
  48. You can either click the string gadget and then type in the program file
  49. name or you can double click the arrow to the left of the string
  50. gadget. Double clicking the arrow gadget will produce a file requester.
  51. Double click rate is controlled by your preferences settings.
  52.  
  53. Unlike the HPGL2XCAD program, IFF2XMENU uses a menu strip.

  55.   Here are the menu options:
  56.  
  57.   I. IFF to XMENU.Vertical - Starts the conversion process for a vertical
  58.      screenmenu. The current maximum size of a brush that can be converted
  59.      to a VERTICAL screenmenu is 240 pixels wide by 400 pixels tall. The
  60.      current minimum size is 100 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall.

  62.  II. IFF to XMENU.Horizontal - Starts the conversion process for a
  63.      horizontal screenmenu. The current maximum size of a brush that can be
  64.      converted to a HORIZONTAL screenmenu is 640 pixels wide by 150 pixels
  65.      tall. The current minimum size is 100 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall.

  67. *WARNING* Screenmenus use CHIP ram, so consequently you may NOT be able to
  68.           load a BIG screenmenu into X-CAD if you do not have enough CHIP
  69.           ram memory.

  71. III. XMENU Headblock Cut/Paste - To be used on a future version along with
  72.      the Temporary File name string gadget.
  73.  
  74.  IV. File info - Displays status information of the file pointed by the
  75.      arrow gadget. You only need to click the arrow gadget once to change
  76.      the current active file. If you double click (at your preferences rate),
  77.      you will receive the file requester.

  79.   V. About - It displays the version number and other program information.

  97. HPGL2XCAD will convert HPGL files (these are files that Auto-CAD, Versa-CAD
  98. and other CAD packages would normally send to a plotter) to X-CAD executable
  99. files. Since the resulting file will be a X-CAD executable one, use the
  100. "EXECUTE FILE NAME <file name>" command (see X-CAD reference manual, page
  101. 12.4) to bring it into X-CAD.

  120.                          DEMOMENU BRIEF DOCUMENTATION.

  123. DEMOMENU is a screenmenu that I use when I work with X-CAD. I am currently
  124. working on some expanded ones. Lets see what you can do!! Share your own
  125. screenmenus with other X-CAD users.

  127. DEMOMENU assumes that your drawings are in a sys:xcad/drawings drawer. Use
  128. modmenu if you need to change the path to your current setup.

  132.                          DEMOMENU.PIC BRIEF DOCUMENTATION.

  135. This is a DPAINT-II picture of the demomenu functions. Get a print dump and
  136. use it as a template. If you don't have DPaint-II you can *only* (as far as
  137. I know) use ShowPrint-II. It is a 640x680 hires picture.
